The Holiday Meals program is a ongoing project of the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach, the Beach Community Food Pantry, Pinellas County Sheriff Officers Community Policing Unit, Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue and Publix.
The Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter meals are delivered by the PCSO Community Policing Officers. They include a full holiday meal and additional items for leftovers and other meals. A total of 165 meals were distributed in 2019 to those in need.
Thanksgiving meals included Publix Cooked Turkey, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Pumpkin Pie, Gallon of Unsweetened Iced Tea, Apple Juice, Loaf of White Bread, Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Little Debbie Cakes.
Christmas meals included a 9 lb. ham, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, sliced pineapple, a gallon of unsweetened iced tea, a loaf of bread, peanut butter, jelly, navy beans, macaroni and cheese, an apple pie from the Publix bakery, a box of Little Debbie snack cakes, and candy canes.
Easter meals included a 9 lb. ham, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes, gravy, sliced pineapple, a gallon of unsweetened iced tea, a loaf of bread, peanut butter, jelly, navy beans, macaroni and cheese, an apple pie from the Publix bakery, a box of Little Debbie snack cakes and jelly beans.
