WE ARE THANKFUL!

This week at our general assembly meeting we expressed our thanks for many things. We are thankful for our family and friends, our wonderful community and all the great organizations that assist the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach and all Rotarians who  provide humanitarian service, and help build goodwill and peace.

Highlights this week…

On Tuesday the Holiday Meals Project delivered 50 Thanksgiving Dinners to families in need in Pinellas County.  The Holiday Meals program is a project of the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach, the Beach Community Food Pantry, Pinellas County Sheriff Officers Community Policing Unit, Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue and Publix.

We celebrated the official induction of Emily Schulz into our club. Emily has been involved in Rotary most of her life. Her father Michael is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach, her mother is a member  and Emily’s brother Mika, is the President of the Interact Club at Largo High School.

Sharon and Steve Dante collect money from Harvey Goodman.

Sharon Dante brought smiles to the club as she cheerfully assisted her husband Steve our Sergeant-At-Arms with the collection of Lou’s Pocket (foundation donations) and Happy Dollars.

Our members and guests had a lot to be happy about this week.

Gwynne with Ace
Gwynne English picked the Ace!

And another one of our guests, Gwynne English, daughter of Past-President Claire English, was lucky and picked the ace to win the 50/50!

Gwynne has set the money aside and will use it to supplement her IB CAS service project benefiting the Beach Community Food Pantry.
