Club Caroling

A holiday tradition for us that is always a blast is coming together for the singing of holiday songs. On December 20th, we did just that. Vernon Bryant lead in song and on keyboard. Although the doors were closed to our room in the back of Jimmy Guana’s, where we hold our weekly Wednesday morning meetings, one of the servers commented we were a pleasure to hear and even carried a tune!


Holiday Lights at Florida Botanical Gardens

On December 13th, several of our club members volunteered for the Florida Botanical Garden’s Holiday Lights. You will see our club members volunteer on various evenings for this memorable event this month.

The Florida Botanical Gardens will be hosting their Holiday Lights in the Gardens event through December 31, 2017, nightly between 5:30 – 9:30PM. A minimum $4 donation is appreciated.

Habitat for Humanity Builds Dec 8th & 13th

Our club has a great partnership with Habitat for Humanity. This month, several of us helped on-site. It’s so remarkable to witness first hand what the power of many working towards a common goal can achieve.

Building for Bob! December 13th, some of our Rotarians helped with another build and fondly dedicated the day to our dearly departed past president, Bob Dittmar. He was an excellent example of a true Rotarian and friend to all whose positive energy and outlook will continue to inspire our club.


Big Raffle Drawing Party!

We held our Big Raffle Drawing Party today at Slyce Pizza in IRB.

Trees for Dominican Republic

The Rotary Club of Pimentel, Duarte in the Dominican Republic partnered with the Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach to provide 250 edible fruit bearing trees to the towns of Pimentel, Los Cachones and Castillo in the Duarte province of the Dominican Republic. Rotary International President Ian Risely has challenged every Rotary club around the world to plant a tree for each of its members.

Rotary Foundation & District 6950 Awards Banquet

New Port Richey, FL.

On Thursday evening, November 16th 2017, Past President Bob Dittmar collected awards at the District 6950 Awards Banquet. The Rotary Club of Indian Rocks Beach had 100% EREY participation, we were #3 in total foundation donations and the highest per capital giving in District 6950 in 2016-2017.

Our fundraisers and donations allow us to make a difference in our community and the world.
